Massive changes have occurred in Spain over the last 30 years. The country has gone from the dictatorship under Franco, then a haven for British criminals in the 80’s to a forward thinking economically developed country that exists today.
As the Photos of Spain of Spain’s pen-pushers, bankers and administrators, Madrid can seem a bit serious and austere at first but hang around for a few hours and you’ll find a city that wrote the book on how to let your hair down. After tapas comes the first few drinks of the evening. The Spanish don’t throw drinks down their throats, unlike the Germans and British, which make up a large percentage of the tourists, but enjoy the whole social part of the evening, allowing them to continue late into the night. Now a player on the world’s economic circuit, Spain has been demanding to be taken notice of for a long time. This development and momentum is obvious nowhere more than Madrid.
