San Marino
Of all the capitals I visited San Marino was the least like a capital. Essentially a small picturesque town on a hill, San Marino is a pleasant and relaxing place. I’m not really a wine drinker, but the atmosphere of the town seemed to invite me to become one. I spent the entire afternoon outside one of the café’/bars slowly downing a bottle. Just a short bus ride from the beach town of Rimini on the east coast of Italy, the wine and the fresh air and the souvenirs entice lots of tourists. Personally I don’t blame them.
