Lisbon
Another day. Another hot city. Lisbon was fairly neat, fairly organized and Lisboners were friendly and accommodating – but Lisbon failed to really grab my imagination. Although, it had architectural similarities to Madrid, it didn’t share the crazed party life as well. Still, not bad. As the financial and beurocratic centre of the country, I shouldn’t have been expecting much –but I still needed something to hook onto, or to take me by surprise. Perhaps Lisboners don’t like surprises; but with so many cities on my list, I wanted something to differentiate it, yet all I found was just another hot city. Maybe I was just a ‘bit down’ for the two days I was there.
