Norway
Oslo
This was another place where you don’t get much change when buying a beer. Still, I found my time in Oslo very enjoyable. People are very friendly there but I think mostly because they had a Hindu festival on at the time with lots of spicy food and vibrant performances on offer. When I detached myself from the many distractions I found a magnificent city. Wandering down the streets and through the proudly kept parks, aside from wishing that I’d brought another sweater, I was amazed at how extravagant and intricate some of the buildings were. I was expecting a much more formal and serious place. As the financial centre, obviously some of the buildings were more pragmatically constructed (i.e. Concrete) but generally Oslo was dressed to impress.
