Sofia seemed to have a little bit of everything. From old elaborate churches to shopping emporiums, from immense sculptures to idyllic gardens. In short, Sofia has all the assets of pretty much any well functioning capital. The years of communist rule have left a structured, soviet feel reminiscent of many of the old block countries. However this is still another city moving forwards not backwards.
